Our Guiding Forces
RTWDANCE was born in 2025 out of a vision to create not just dance, but a powerful force for social change and radical inclusion. Founded by Randolph Ward—a classically trained Ballerino whose 22-year journey through the United States, Europe, and Asia has been shaped by the richness of the African Diaspora—RTWDANCE is a response to a world in need of healing, truth, and transformation. Every movement we create tells a story—of resistance, of freedom, of becoming.

Randolph Ward
Randolph Ward, a Miami native is the founder and Artistic Director of RTWDANCE. After a 15-year career performing across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, Ward retired from the stage. His work has been recognized by Pointe Magazine’s 2003 V.I.P. List, and noted Dance Magazine critic Colleen M. Payton for his performance in “Mooty Booty Blues”. “Rhoden’s opus hit big with the audience, partly because of Ward’s shine and panache. Ward’s gift is control: precise placement at each point in choreography of dazzling speed”. Ward is a recipient of the Columbus Arts Council Choreographic Award for his piece “When Death Knocks” and the Capital Arts Partnership (CAP) Award for “Boys Will Be Boys.” In 2023, his choreography for Aurin Squire’s Defacing Michael Jackson received critical acclaim, with Christine Dolen of Artburst Miami remarking, “What choreographer Randolph Ward has dreamed up is the kind of longed-for moment that makes the often-silent crowd go wild.”
